The Signs of Christ’s Return and the Armor of God

As Christians, it is important to be prepared for the return of Christ. The Bible is full of signs that must occur before He will come again, and we must be sure to put on the armor of God in order to be ready.

The Signs of Christ’s Return

Throughout the Bible, there are several signs that must occur before Christ will return. These signs include:

• An increase in knowledge (Daniel 12:4).
• A time of great tribulation (Matthew 24:21).
• The emergence of a false prophet (Revelation 13:11-12).
• The Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
• The rise of an apostate church (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
• A great battle at Armageddon (Revelation 16:16).
• The return of the Jews to Israel (Ezekiel 37:21).
• The return of Christ (Matthew 24:27).

The Armor of God

In Ephesians 6:10-18, the Bible instructs us to put on the armor of God in order to be prepared for the return of Christ. This armor consists of:

• The belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14).
• The breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14).
• The shoes of the Gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15).
• The shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16).
• The helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17).
• The sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17).

We must be prepared for Christ’s return by being aware of the signs that must occur beforehand and by putting on the armor of God. This armor will help us to stand firm in the faith, and to be able to recognize and resist the forces of evil that will be at work in the world.
