Session 7 of Discipleship 7 Essentials – “Service”

Matthew 28:19

The Sunday night worship message was focused on Session 7 of Discipleship 7 Essentials, otherwise known as “Service”. The sermon outlined the multiple aspects of service and how the congregation can put it into practice.

The Essential Qualities of Service

The pastor emphasized that service is an expression of love. In order to serve in a meaningful way, it is essential to have the right attitude and outlook.

• Be humble in service.
• Be patient in service.
• Be willing to learn in service.
• Be intentional in service.
• Be unselfish in service.

The sermon reminded the congregation that service is an expression of love, and that when done with the right attitude and outlook, it can make a lasting impact.

When we do something primarily for the benefit and goodwill of another person or group of people. When we service, we look outside of ourselves, beyond our own problems, and seek to bring value to others.

Ultimately, in the end, we will be rewarded with a crown of righteousness if we stay true to the Lord. It was a great time of learning and growing together.
