Being Thankful Every Day
A touching service with over 85 people to worship this Sunday morning. The hymns were such a pleasure to everyone. A special was given by our Youth Director Kolter Borden with his rendition of Long Black Train.
While we often associate Thanksgiving Day with turkey, pie, and football, at its core, Thanksgiving traces its roots to gratitude. As Christians, we celebrate this holiday as a time to exemplify that gratitude, to pray and give thanks to God for a bountiful harvest.
Having thankful hearts encourages us to extend this sense of gratitude to others. Thanksgiving Day is not one day a year, it is every day of our life journey. A time to share God’s blessings with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Putting Gratitude into Practice
Afterwards everyone joined for fellowship and a feast provided by the church. Simple yet profound moments of joy that make up a congregation, bonding together in thankful hearts.
This spirit of thanksgiving is something we should strive to practice every day. From the mundane moments of our lives to the big moments, we can practice the art of thankfulness.
- Start your day with a prayer of gratitude.
- Show appreciation for the people in your life.
- Be generous with your time and money.
- Live with a spirit of thankfulness.
- Remind yourself of all the good in your life.
Gratitude is truly the way to experience joy in our lives. We can give thanks to God for the blessings he has bestowed on us and learn to show thanks to those around us. Let’s strive to be thankful every day!
